How often do I pay my rent?

Rent is generally paid on a fortnightly, monthly or semesterly basis, and is due before the first day of the next rental period.

 

How much Bond do I need to pay?

A Bond equal to 4 weeks rent needs to be paid at the time of signing the lease agreement. It will be held until the end of your contract, at which point it is returned to you LESS any amounts owed to Accolade Property for unpaid rent or damages.

 

Will the price of my rent increase?

The price of rent is increased each January in accordance with the indexed level of inflation. We will let you know in advance of any increase.

 

How long is my lease?

Most leases run for one year.

 

Can I have a friend over to visit me?

You may have visitors, your responsible for their behaviour. Please be considerate of your housemates and ensure that your guests visit only on an occassional basis and do not cause any disruption or damage of property.

 

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed at any of the properties, unless prior approval is granted.

 

Do I need to bring towels and bed linen with me?

Yes, you will need to bring your own towels, sheets, blankets and pillows.

 

What happens if I damage or break something?

You should notify us immediately of any item of property that becomes damaged or broken. This will be repaired and the costs of repair or replacement will be charged to the person responsible.
